The Empower HER Initiative
Website design for a Kenyan nonprofit advancing menstrual equity, educational scholarships, and support for young mothers across underserved communities in Western Kenya.
The Empower HER Initiative is a Kenyan-based nonprofit operating out of Amalemba, Kakamega, that transforms lives by advancing menstrual equity, providing educational scholarships, and supporting young mothers. They tackle systemic barriers by supplying sanitary products, teaching business skills, and advocating for gender equality across underserved communities in Western Kenya. We designed their website to tell that story with clarity and heart, helping visitors understand their mission, the communities they serve, and the practical ways they create change. From program pages covering dignified reusable pads and skills training to sections that introduce the team behind the work, each part was built to feel approachable, trustworthy, and easy to navigate on desktop and mobile.
