# Evidence block checklist for AI-assisted drafts

- Source: https://simeoncreatives.com/resources/evidence-block-checklist
- Hub: SEO, GEO & Digital Marketing

List every first-party block in a draft, mark it before the AI pass, and diff six details after. Number, date, name, tool, link, limit.

Fill the block log before anyone prompts a model. Save the original text of each block in a separate note or version.
After every AI pass, run the six-detail diff on every block. If a detail changed, restore the original.
Remove working markers before publish. Keep the visible label (“Observed on 30 September 2026”) in the copy.

*Evidence goes in before the model does. The diff is how you know it is still there.*

## Page

- [ ] Target URL and working title
- [ ] Owner (the person who ran the test, took the screenshot, or knows the process)
- [ ] Date of each AI pass (draft, edit, metadata) so you know which diffs to run

## Block log

One row per block. Labels: Observed, Sourced, Framework, Hypothetical, Client evidence. No label means it is not evidence yet.

| Block | Label | Owner | Date | Does not prove | Original saved? |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | | | | | |
| | | | | | |
| | | | | | |
| | | | | | |
| | | | | | |

## Minimum detail by label

| Label | Must include |
| --- | --- |
| Observed | Date, conditions, result, and what it does not prove |
| Sourced | Link to the primary page, page name, date checked |
| Framework | Criteria, trade-offs, and when it fails |
| Hypothetical | The word “hypothetical” in the sentence |
| Client evidence | Written permission, scope, and what it does not show. Never invent one |

## Six-detail diff (run per block, after every AI pass)

- [ ] Numbers match the original
- [ ] Dates match the original (not “recently” or “this year”)
- [ ] Names of people, companies, and pages match
- [ ] Tool and version names match
- [ ] Links are present, open, and say what the anchor text promises
- [ ] The “does not prove” line is intact

## Safety and permission

- [ ] Screenshots redacted: no customer names, emails, account IDs, or keys
- [ ] Client evidence has written permission on file
- [ ] No invented client, quote, percentage, or lift figure in the body, FAQs, or meta description
- [ ] Every image has descriptive alt text and a caption saying what it shows

## Sign-off

- [ ] Working markers removed. Visible labels kept
- [ ] The block owner read the final page
- [ ] Result: all blocks intact, restored, or removed (with reason)
